Injection Molding Parameters

Process Parameter Recommended Range Unit Remarks & Descriptions
Barrel Temperature 180‑260 °C Recommended processing temperature:185‑215°C. Melt temperature significantly affects the toughness of finished parts. Avoid long‑term residence at high temperature to prevent degradation.
Mold Temperature 10‑70 °C Carefully controlled mold temperature is critical for surface quality (gloss, flow marks), weld‑line strength and warpage resistance. Higher mold temperature generally improves surface gloss and reduces internal stress. Extremely thin‑wall parts can be molded at mold temperature below 10°C.
Injection Pressure Adjust according to product structure and dimension MPa Sufficient holding pressure is required to prevent sink marks.
Back Pressure 0.5‑1.0 MPa Proper back pressure homogenizes melt; excessive back pressure may cause shear overheating.
Screw Speed Medium speed (50‑100 rpm recommended) rpm Avoid excessive speed generating excessive shear heat.
Drying Treatment (Optional) 2 h at 70°C Drying is normally unnecessary. Drying is recommended if material is stored in humid environment or exposed for long time after package opening. Drying removes surface moisture and improves appearance.
